Here, you can witness a magnificent Minnesota sunset on a pontoon boat, spot loons diving and surfacing in the summer surf, and even see the famous Aurora Borealis' superb colors. And that's just the surface- as long as you're outside, you'll have a fantastic time!

A newly improved harbor and dock system is your gateway to Lake Vermilion's fertile waters, full of muskie, walleye, bass, and northern pike. Anglers' needs are met with dock service, fish cleaning, live bait, a tackle shop, and arranged guide service. Whether you're a fishing pro or just someone who enjoys being on the lake, Lake Vermilion has fishing opportunities for everyone!

While there are countless ways to enjoy yourself at Pehrson's, the surrounding area also boasts plenty of fun. Couples can tour the Soudan Underground Mine, where they'll travel underground a half-mile and ride an authentic ore car. You'll learn the mine's history along the way! Check out the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary if you prefer staying above ground! It's the best place to see North American black bears in their natural habitat, and there are always biologists on hand to offer loads of information and answer questions.

Pehrson Lodge is happy to invite well-controlled pets to their "Pet-Friendly Zone," which includes the many scenic wooded hiking trails and multiple cabins nearby. Sadly not all cabins can be pet-friendly, as some must remain pet-free to protect individuals with allergies and those who prefer not to be near pets.
