Originally started in 1915, this lodge in the heart of Minnesota's unique Boundary Waters Canoe Area offers a quiet getaway with beautiful views of the palisades on the Gunflint Trail. Accommodations include bed-and-breakfast suites, rooms in the historic lodge, and nine charming cabins that embody the Northwoods' spirit, each with lake views, fully-equipped kitchens, and fireplaces. The Clearwater Bakery bakes fresh fruit pies, bread, and other goodies daily. While you are here, the friendly staff can provide the equipment you need to explore via canoe day trips or more extended adventures with their complete Canoe Outfitting services. Bunkhouse accommodations are also available for a night's rest before or after an extended canoe trip.
