It was the fond childhood memories of camping, fishing, and hiking at Mammoth Lakes that made us purchase this lovely condo at Discovery 4; now we have made those same memories with our children and grandchildren, adding biking, skiing, snowboarding, sightseeing at Mono Lake and many more activities. Our beautifully furnished condo sleeps 10 - king size bed in master bedroom, 2 sets of bunk beds in bedroom #2, a queen size bed in bedroom #3, and 2 twin beds in the loft. Three full baths assure that everyone can get out of the house in the morning for "first tracks" during the winter. We love the decor in our condo, and it truly feels as if you are "in the mountains." When it comes time to eat, avail yourself of our fully-equipped kitchen, use the gas barbecues and tables at the Condo common area, or treat yourself to a dinner out at the nearby restaurants in the new "Village" at Mammoth, just a short 1/2 mile down the hill.We have made more memories with friends playing cards and board games after dinner on the large dining table, watching the flat screen TV with free cable (see Channel 40 for menu), or a video, all the while enjoying the wood burning fireplace on a snowy night (firewood provided on outside deck). All year round we enjoy the condominium complex recreation room with pool table, ping pong table, wifi, Foosball and computer room with printer. We step outside the recreation room to a Jacuzzi year round and a pool in the summer. Relax in the dry sauna, with full showers and bath. Also, the rec room has coin-operated washers and dryers for your use.What makes our condo so special is its handy location within the complex and the surrounding area. We are located 1 mile below Canyon Lodge and 1 mile below the lakes, where picnicking, hiking & relaxation is popular and summer fishing abounds. You can catch the free shuttle right off the Discovery 4 property. Our second-story condo is next to the parking area and being the end unit, is very quiet.
