Susan's family built and owned the hotel since it opened in 1964, and Ed invested some money in the hotel in 1966, which is when he and his wife began working there as well. At that time, the only paved street in the area was Park Avenue, but the hotel's opening and ideal location beside the Park City Ski Area made it an ideal choice for skiers and other travelers!
