Rich in both history and artistry, Abe's Spring Street Guest House was originally built in 1876 as an icehouse for a prominent Galena brewery. During this time, the icehouse once stored up to 800 tons of ice harvested from the Galena River for the brewery. The 27-inch thick building walls provided great insulation; while today, provide window seats for the bed and breakfast.
