History and Elegance Meet in Fanciful Mystic, Connecticut

If you travel to Southeast Connecticut you just may stumble upon a spectacular ocean and riverfront village by the name of Mystic. The village, which is believed to be founded in the 1650s, has become a popular destination for weddings, meetings, reunions, and family and romantic getaways, and is home to one of the most elegant inns on the eastern shore: Whaler's Inn. Whaler's Inn is a majestic, historical five-building estate on Mystic River, which flows into the wide Atlantic Ocean. The inn was built in 1920, and features stunning bedrooms with tasteful decor and river views, all within walking distance of shopping, sightseeing, dining, and spectacular Bascule Drawbridge.
