Bamburgh Hall, built in 1697, is the farmhouse for the surrounding 380 acres which goes down to the golf course and seashore, and produces a mix of cereals, sheep and cattle. Golf, sandy beaches, bird watching and natural history, huge amounts of migratory birds and England's seal population (the Farne Islands are accessible from Bamburgh)abound.
