The name "Pochote Grande" is derived from the huge, old pochote tree (Bombacopsis quinatum) located directly behind our barbeque site. The tree, once called home by a boa constrictor, provides shade to many birds and animals such as owls, iguanas, squirrels and even a raccoon family on occasion.
