With a rich history going all the way back to the early 1920s, visiting the Marten River Lodge is an adventure all on its own. The dining room, lodge, and a single cabin were the first structures built in the area, serving as half-way stations for personnel of the Dept. of Northern Development who were supervising road construction in the area. The beautiful self-sufficient Ontario cottages at Marten Lodge are built in the Canadiana-style with hand-hewn logs, outdoor fireplaces, and up to 4 bedrooms of space.
