The Paintbox Lodge is an intimate boutique hotel owned by Olympic medalist, Sara Renner and World Cup Champion, Thomas Grandi. You will find this special place in the heart of downtown Canmore within walking distance of stores, restaurants and paths. Guests are encouraged to leave their cars to rest and hop on a complimentary bicycle. Explore Canmore, or adventure into paradise as you search for the perfect picnic spot amidst the extensive and well marked trail system. Allow the picturesque Canadian Rockies to relax and rejuvenate you. Go hiking, cross country skiing, or mountain climbing with one of the local mountain guides. You can also participate in a demonstrative cooking class, taught by the lodge's principal chef, George Bayne. After a day of exploration, fun, and relaxation, return to one of the lodge's gorgeous guest suites. Create a wedding that is as lavish or as simple as you want it to be. Ceremonies at the Paintbox Lodge are an intimate affair. Exchange vows outside in the private garden then host a cocktail reception and elegant dinner in the dining area. The lodge can accommodate 60 people outside and 30 people indoors.

Sara and Thomas encourage you to take advantage of the great outdoors and they, along with the lodge manager, can point you to whatever kind of adventure you desire to go on. There are many river paths you can explore by bike or on foot. Be sure to bring your camera! You will surely want to capture the natural beauty that is all around you. So leave your car parked, and step into a world only Mother Earth could create!
