Welcome to Martha's Vineyard

The island community of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts’ is renowned for being a summer getaway for the famous, but you’re invited too! While much of the island’s coastline is privately owned, you can still feel like a celebrity relaxing on the sands of South Beach, Joseph A. Sylvia State Beach and others. And even if you don’t spot a movie star on the beach, you can at least see them on the screen at Martha’s Vineyard International Festival, an annual celebration of feature and short films. If you’re lucky, see some actual stars in the sky at the Grand Illumination in Oak Bluffs. Held only one night during the summer, watch the town’s cottages light up with colorful Chinese lanterns. So, avoid the paparazzi and plan your trip to Martha’s Vineyard!
