Located at the foothills of the Kiamichi Mountains, Broken Bow provides travelers with a scenic destination in the southeast corner of Oklahoma. Head to Broken Bow Lake, featuring 180 miles of shoreline and considered by many to be one of the state’s most scenic lakes. Lower Mountain Fork provides a haven for fly-fishing, as well as plenty of rapids to challenge those searching for a canoeing adventure. If you are looking for an adventure on dry land, the Red Slough Wildlife Management Area is a 5,800-acre maze of reservoirs, moist soil management units and forest, and is one of the largest wetland projects of its kind. Outdoor adventures are not all you will find when you travel to Broken Now. The Gardner Mansion and Museum is well-known for their collection of prehistoric and historic Native American and pioneer artifacts. Another popular attraction is the Beavers Bend Wildlife Museum, home to a number of wildlife exhibits as well as environmental education, making it a true learning experience for all ages.
