You can portage directly from Tuscarora Lodge and, in just a short paddle, you will be in the heart of the Boundary Waters Wilderness Area. This family-oriented nature area has a beautiful beach perfect for swimming and for your canoe adventures, you can be completely outfitted at Tuscarora!

Ecotourism

Have a green getaway with your family! Tuscarora utilizes environmentally-friendly appliances and this is a non-motorized, paddle-only area. You are urged to practice catch and release fishing and leave no trace camping for a nature experience that leaves little impact on this pristine wilderness.

Here you are truly surrounded by nature’s playground in the Northwoods of Minnesota! Located at the quiet east end of the BWCA and Quetico Parks, you will be a short distance from Gunflint Bay and Cross Bay and you can begin your trek into nature right from the dock at Tuscarora!

With options from partial to complete outfitting of your Boundary Waters or Quetico Park canoe trip, you will have everything you need right here at Tuscarora Lodge. From food to canoes to sleeping pads to towing service, the friendly staff will supply your needs with the utmost attention!

Cabins And Cottages

All of the cabins are lakeside and offer full bathroom facilities and fully-equipped kitchens for your convenience. Each cabin also comes prepared with sheets, blankets, pillows and towels as well as firewood. Enjoy rustic Northwoods comfort just off the Gunflint Trail!

Make use of the large kitchen and living room areas, suitable for large group meetings. The Lodge has three bedrooms and one full bath. With a futon in the living room, the Lodge can sleep up to eight people all year round!
