Bearskin Lodge is an idyllic getaway on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. This is the only resort on the pristine East Bearskin Lake, surrounded by Minnesota’s legendary Northwoods and the best fishing, canoeing, hiking and biking you can find. The fun doesn’t stop in the winter: cross country skiing and snowshoeing are fantastic on 77km of onsite, groomed trails. Outside each cabin or villa is perfect wilderness - no mowed lawns or fountains. Family

Lake

The lodge is the only resort on four-mile long East Bearskin Lake. Walleye, Northern pike, bass and lake trout populations thrive here, and guided fishing trips are offered mid-May through mid-September. Just adjacent to the BWCA, Bearskin is a convenient hub for Boundary Waters day trips.

Winter, the season of "silent sports," is Bearskin's specialty. This is the best cross country skiing in the nation: 77 km of groomed ski and designated snowshoe trails challenge skiers of all abilities. And if you just can't get enough during the day, 1 1/2 kilometers are lit for night skiing.
