Bearskin Lodge is an idyllic getaway on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. This is the only resort on the pristine East Bearskin Lake, surrounded by Minnesota’s legendary Northwoods and the best fishing, canoeing, hiking and biking you can find. The fun doesn’t stop in the winter: cross country skiing and snowshoeing are fantastic on 77km of onsite, groomed trails. Winter, the season of "silent sports," is Bearskin's specialty. The North Shore has the best cross country skiing in the nation: 77 km of groomed ski and designated snowshoe trails for skiers of all abilities. If you just can't get enough during the day, 1 1/2 kilometers are lit for night skiing.
