Whether you come to Frances Lake to relax in a cabin or participate in one of its multi-day excursions, you’ll have qualified guides at your service. They’ll teach you how to canoe and kayak, or answer questions about the area’s unique fur trading history and its distinctive flora and fauna.
Situated on the remote shores of Frances Lake, near a historical trading post, you’ll be able see the lake from your rustic cabin and explore these resplendent waters with complimentary canoes and kayaks. Professional guides will even show you how to use the equipment and take you on short trips.
Cabins, Cottages, and Chalets
Providing heat and light the old-fashion way with wood stoves and kerosene, these five cabins combine rustic touches with modern amenities. All cabins boast picturesque views of Frances Lake and are within easy walking distance to the main lodge. You’ll also have access to a hot shower and sauna.
These multi-day trips take you into the meandering waterways and majestic backcountry of the Frances Lake area. Hike where there are no signs of human habitation; canoe down the seldom-paddled Yusezyu River; dog sled through a sparkling white landscape – an incredible journey is waiting for you!
