Award-Winning Destination Spa Helping People Sleep Better

The Lodge at Woodloch is renowned for being at the top of their game when it comes to world-class retreats and accommodations, but they are turning their focus to a commonly overlooked issue: sleep deprivation.

So many people sacrifice sleep for the other priorities in their life which is simply not good for your long-term health. Sleep is medically proven to be beneficial to your well-being.  Sleep helps people deal with stress, helps keep you look younger longer, helps improve your immune system and can even help with weight loss!

With National Sleep Week upon us (March 2-8th), The Lodge at Woodloch is taking action. Seeing the many benefits of sleep, the resort wanted to do something to help people get more of it. That’s why they have developed a Rest+Well Blueprint that they want to share with not only their travelers, but the millions of travelers who research, book, and plan their vacations through ResortsandLodges.com. The Lodge’s blueprint will roll out during National Sleep Week and will be incorporated into their everyday offerings. Not only will visitors get the customary fantastic vacation when staying at The Lodge, but they’ll also be getting some very beneficial shut eye.

The Rest+Well Components are incorporated into every aspect of the stay. It’s all about the rooms first and foremost.  Each guest will be provided with a pillow menu, which allows guests to choose from a Hypoallergenic, Memory Foam, Sleep Number, Body or Buckwheat Pillow if the standard Down Pillow doesn’t best suit their sleep needs. Rooms are also equipped with new memory foam beds, blackout drapes, and temperature control with other customizable requests including light therapy boxes and sound bars available as well! With options this good, guests will never want to get out of bed!

The Lodge at Woodloch didn’t stop with making the rooms a great place to sleep. They wanted to make sure that guests were relaxed and able to get that healthy sleep their bodies crave. At the spa, there’s a new restful retreat massage available. It focuses on relaxing areas of chronic pain and tension by placing guests in a “zero gravity” chair that suspends and gently rocks them as they are massaged with specially crafted oil blends. There is also the Lavender Garden Dream treatment, a guest favorite that combines earthy minerals and lavender exfoliate into an energizing salt scrub. The package achieves maximum relaxation by customizing a lavender wrap with a hot stone massage that leads into a full body massage.

A restaurant and bar may seem like two of the last places that would want to promote sleep, but since The Lodge is so dedicated to making their property the most enjoyable and relaxing stay for their guests they’ve implemented their Rest+Well plan into TREE Restaurant and Bar. During National Sleep Awareness week, enjoy one of the cooking demonstrations at The Lodge, which incorporate sleep inducing ingredients. They will also be offering herbal teas to help with sleep.

As if you weren’t already dozing off into a peaceful slumber just reading about all these relaxing options, there’s more! Take a mind/body class and learn how to focus attention and simple ways to gain breath awareness and enhance energy levels in the body. Guests can enjoy power napping, where they are guided through stretches with props and pillows to promote total relaxation and rest, or they can opt for an AM stretch or fitness walk!  AM stretching helps start out the day right with active stretching and a three-mile fitness walk at Woodloch Springs Country Club is the perfect way to de-stress!

The Lodge at Woodloch will also have special services including a customized sleep experience with a Sleep Sommelier or a Naturopath Private Consultation with Nathaniel Whitmore. During National Sleep Week, there will be special forums that guests can attend as well.  On Thursday, March 5th, and Saturday, March 7th, learn about the benefits of getting a good night sleep.  On Friday, March 6th, learn techniques to help your kids sleep better!

The benefits to being well rested are medically proven and The Lodge at Woodloch is dedicated to making sure that their guests are fully taken care of, from sun up to sun down - and all the time in between. This is not only a program or blueprint, but more a way of life and the benefits are endless. Stay with The Lodge at Woodloch and get the best night’s sleep you could have ever dreamed of.
