Christmas Prelude 2019 events in Kennebunkport! Join us for the first two weeks in December for holiday shopping, tree lightings, trolley rides, craft fairs, caroling and nativities, and even Santa coming in on a lobster boat! Plenty of cheer and family fun for all ages with this year’s list of Christmas Prelude events.

Tree Lighting Dinner

Friday 12/6 – 6:00 to 9:00 PM Watch as Kennebunkport kicks off Christmas Prelude with the tree lighting in Dock Square. Then join us for a special holiday menu and live entertainment. Reservations required: 207-967-4050

Prelude Luncheon

 

Saturday 12/7 – 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Enjoy a menu filled with holiday comfort foods and live entertainment. Reservations required: 207-967-4050

Breakfast with Mrs. Claus and the Elves

 

Sunday 12/8 – 8:00 to 11:00 AM A special holiday breakfast buffet hosted by our visitors from the North Pole to help make Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport a favorite family tradition. Reservations are $25 for adults, $15 for children 12 and under. Reservations required, 207-967-4050

Prelude Cookie Crawl

Monday to Thursday 12/9-12 – 12:00 to 4:00 PM Visit local shops and Inns to sample a holiday cookie and vote for your favorite. Tickets are $10 per person, to be purchased at The Nonantum. Proceeds will benefit the Fuel Assistance Program in Maine.

Santa Sing-A-Long

Tuesday 12/10 – 3:00 to 6:00 PM A visit from Jolly Ole St. Nick & Mrs Claus brings seasonal songs, treat buffet, cookie decorating, and a complimentary photo. Tickets are only $5 per person at the door. Mutasia Children’s Entertainment artist will be on site for character drawings! 

Craft Cocktail Class

Wednesday 12/11 – 5:00 to 6:00 PM Learn to make seasonal cocktails from our mixologists that are sure to impress. Tickets are $35 per person (Adults Only, 21+) Reservations required: 207-967-4050

Kids Paint Party

 

Wednesday 12/11 – 3:00 to 5:00 PM Children between the ages of 6-16 can enjoy a painting class with snacks presented by Barbara Lisa. Tickets are $30 per child. Reservations required: 207-967-4050

Christmas Prelude Fireworks From the Nor’easter

Friday 12/13 – 5:30 PM. Board the boat behind The Pilot House at 5:30pm on the evening of Christmas Prelude Fireworks and  enjoy a leisure ride on the Kennebunk River before we anchor  the boat near the Dock Square Bridge at  6:15pm to enjoy the fireworks show!  The boat has a covered wheelhouse and heated cabin. Alcohol is permitted onboard for those age 21 years of age and over. BYOB. There is limited seating. $40-per person, Please RSVP in advance for the fireworks cruise by calling 207-450-1831

Gingerbread House Making

 

Saturday 12/14 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Children and adults alike will love making their own gingerbread houses with plenty of frosting, sprinkles and festive holiday decorations! Reservations are $5 per person, children ages 2 and under are free. Sponsored by the Kennebunk-Kennebunkport-Arundel Chamber of Commerce. A portion of the proceeds will benefit a local non-profit. Reservation Restrictions – Credit cards are required for ALL dining reservations. If you need to cancel, you must cancel 24 hours in advance or there will be a $25 per person charge.
