Bask in the Interior of Alaska, the Last Frontier!

Alaska has long been considered the last true frontier of the American wilderness. Fairbanks, the state’s second largest city by population, offers travelers a wild destination that is filled to the brim with nature and activities. Enjoy the canvas of the aurora borealis in the night sky above you while you’re in the land of the midnight sun. The North Pole offers a wonderful, magical adventure for everyone, and the rich native culture of Alaska paints a picture of a land as old as time. For those looking for a small-town experience, Fairbanks also has a lively experience in store for the discerning traveler. Art galleries, museums, and festivities are all celebrated within the city, and you can check out their many distilleries and breweries while relaxing after an evening of exploration.

You won’t find a better way to enjoy all that Fairbanks has to offer than with the Tanana Valley State Fair, taking place August 3-11. Everything from live music, food and dance is offered, and it’s a joyous celebration of Alaskan culture! ResortsandLodges.com had a chance to sit down with the Executive Director of the Tanama Valley State Fair, Blake Matray, to learn more about this amazing festival.
