Hot Springs, Virginia
Let us take a little journey to the Allegheny Mountains, and back in time to the mid-1700s. We are near what is now Hot Springs, Virginia. And we need a place to stay. Fortunately, a new hotel has just opened - it’s called The Homestead. It’s the finest hotel we’ve ever seen in these parts.
Now, fast-forward to the present day. We’re planning a conference, and it has to be world-class in every way. The Homestead is still here, more luxurious than ever. You first discover The Homestead has more than two centuries of history behind it; you next find that it’s spent every moment of that time developing and improving. Which brings us to Virginia meetings and events. Today, The Homestead has 72,000 square feet of state-of-the-art space including 28 meeting rooms, two ballrooms, the two-level Commonwealth Room and 270-seat historic theater. That’s not to mention the sweeping, immaculate lawns, the formal gardens, a serene fishing pond and more. Or the range of recreation and team building activities including the classic - shooting, carriage rides and seasonal falconry, for example - and the modern, such as high and low ropes courses, a climbing wall and Cascades Gorge tours.
The Homestead Spa is one of the finest in the world, and originates from the hotel’s inception and features the legendary Jefferson Pools where the nation’s third president sampled the healing powers of these natural mineral springs.
At The Homestead, you can take an Orvis-endorsed guided fly fishing trip on the private Cascade Stream, play tennis on world-class clay or hard courts and golf on any of three historic championship courses.
The Homestead opened its doors in 1766, ten years before the American Revolution.close
