The signature Mudslide Experience is not a slightly altered Slip N’ Slide from your childhood front yard – it’s a three-step treatment for complete rejuvenation. The first step is, naturally, The Mud. This mineral-rich California clay is mixed with volcanic ash and a blend of essential oils. Rest in the heated mud lounge until step two: The Waters. Soak in an oversized tub full of geothermal mineral water from Solage’s own spring. Finally, The Rest, which entails closing your eyes and relaxing in a vibration chair.

Finally, turn left onto Silverado Trail and continue for 26 miles until you reach Solage Calistoga.

Try a Tree Top Room flooded in CA sunshine through wraparound windows, a pool, croquet, golf, trails, tennis and of course, Meadowood Spa.

What better way to experience Napa Valley than with a Meadowood picnic for two in a vineyard? St. Clement Vineyards, to be exact, with California artisan cheeses and breads and croissant club sandwiches with avocado, to be precise. There is another way, however, to enjoy the Cali countryside that just may rival that heaven-in-a-basket feast. We developed a schoolgirl fancy for the Cabernet Crush. Warm cabernet grape seed polish is applied followed by a light brush massage. Aromatic grape seed oil replenishes Vitamins A, C and E and leaves your skin glowing. As the kids return to school, give yourself the perfect autumn treat with the Meadowood Harvest Wrap. A dry brush exfoliation is followed by hot towel compresses and tea tree exfoliation. While you are wrapped in a hydrating masque, your scalp and face are massaged.

From San Francisco International Airport via the Bay Bridge, take Hwy. 101 North for about six miles. Hwy. 101 merges with Hwy. 80. Follow the signs to Bay Bridge. Cross Bay Bridge and stay in the left lane, following signs to Hwy. 80 East/Sacramento. Stay on Hwy. 80 East for 23 miles to Carquinez Bridge, where there will be a toll. Stay on Hwy. 80 and then take Hwy. 37 West for two miles. Turn right onto Hwy. 29 and continue north for 20 miles. Turn right onto Zinfandel Lane then turn left onto Silverado Trail. After 2.5 miles, turn right onto Meadowood Rd. Curve left at the “Y” intersection and continue to Meadowood Napa Valley.
