We stopped here quite by chance on a driving holiday across the US and it was a real find. Very friendly staff, a fantastic riverside location, lovely clean, cabin-like rooms. It was well maintained, had coffee-making facilities and in the evening there was a campfire and you could sit out by the river and watch the sunset. Beautifully tranquil and in the morning we even had chipmunks on our verandah!

My husband and I had a mini honeymoon at one of the cottages at Edgewater Inn and we couldn't recommend it more. Our cottage had its own kitchen, living area, and bathroom. Fritz, the owner, was also more than helpful with recommendations on where to go and what to eat. It was so nice to go fishing (catching a 42" Musky) and then have dinner and play cards riverside.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Stayed here this past March for a couple of days of snowmobiling and I couldn't have been more satisfied. Fritz, the proprietor, is incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.  Best place for sled-heads to stay as there is ample parking for the sleds and trail access straight from the motel! Let's be clear, this is a motel in the Northwoods of WI. Throw your regular hotel conventions to the side and take these lodgings for what they are: cozy, rustic, and relatively inexpensive.
