The Newnham home was built around the turn of the century, purchased by Harry Newnham, one of the "town fathers" in the early 1920s and had been occupied by his descendants until the spring of 1985. Its tasteful architecture was typical of the era in which it was built. The exterior of the home is graced with a wrap around porch, complete with gingerbread carvings in its corners and a porch swing for beautiful summer nights.
