Hand-hewn log cabins and outdoor campfire pits await your s’more sticks at The Last Resort. Established in 1902, The Last Resort is for the adventurous seeking the perfect "get away from it all" vacation in absolute wilderness. Settled among the spruce, cedar, pine and birch trees are eight rustic log cabins and four primitive tent sites along Long Pond, a nine mile long lake which is fed by the Moose River. The Last Resort draws out more than just the adventurous; expect to see moose, deer, otters, ospreys, loons, herons, and bald eagles right from your cabin porch!

Cabins, Cottages, and Chalets
For those seeking excitement, Jackman has its own white water rafting company. Seaplane rides are available in town and, depending on conditions, from our dock. Moose River even has a nine hole golf course and two tennis courts. For those eager to explore more hiking opportunities, there are several trails of varying difficulty within 45 minutes of the camps.
All-day trips can be taken down the lake or up the Moose River by canoe, affording the voyager with unique opportunities for fishing and viewing wildlife. There are many walking trails surrounding the main camps which can be traveled in less than an hour. For those who want to venture further out on foot, the road to town is six miles through the forest; there are also other trails which can take all day to explore.
Each of the eight authentic log cabins are well spaced for a maximum of privacy and each is equipped with an outdoor campfire pit and picnic table. Refrigerators, heaters, rangers, outhouses, and a shower house ensure that you’ve got everything you need to recharge and refresh each morning before your next outdoor adventure.
