The Riverkeep Lodge's reason for being is the magnificent Atikonak River in the Labrador Interior. The river, as well as huge Atikonak Lake, supports healthy populations of land-locked salmon (ouananiche), brook trout and lake trout, northern pike, and whitefish; stock is enhanced and assured by our fly-fishing only, catch and release policy. Anglers wade, cast from the only McKenzie-style drift boats in Eastern Canada, or prowl granite ledges to cover pools best fished from shore. The guest house living room is equipped with wood stove, 3 bedrooms of double occupancy, complete bath facilities, a wealth of reading material, and a well-stocked fly-tying bench.

The river is also the focal point of other sub-arctic wildlife; while being ferried up or down the river in our 20-foot cedar-planked square sterned canoes, we often see woodland caribou, black bear, fox, moose, mink, otter, beaver, muskrat, eagle and osprey. test
The Riverkeep Lodge is the ideal place to fish the magnificent Atikonak River and Atikonak Lake for brook trout, northern pike, and much more!
