As the glaciers receded 15,000 years ago they left a landscape covered in boulders and sparse vegetation. Hickory Run State Park is one of the few places left that this landscape still exists. Most places where glaciers rested are now covered by soil, trees and plants, but not Hickory Run State Park. The landscape is covered with boulders that range in size from a small rock to 26 foot behemoth slabs of rock. The park is officially recognized as a National Natural Landmark. A great way to experience the park is by hiking, biking or horseback riding through more than 44 miles of scenic trails. There is a plenty of space for you to camp, relax and enjoy nature.

With so many activities it's difficult to choose what to do. From stunning parks to indoor adventure wonderlands, the Poconos has tons to offer. Make sure you give yourself enough time on your next getaway to truly enjoy the wide array of fun activities and locations the region is famous for.
