Old Forge has many activities to offer during the fall such as shopping in the village, the Scenic Chairlift Ride on McCauley Mountain, the Adirondack Scenic Railroad excursion, as well as the narrated scenic boat cruises in Old Forge and nearby Raquette Lake. For those with a love of the outdoors, there are plenty of hiking and biking trails, and kayaking and canoeing on the Moose River.
