The Biosphere Pool Complex... A Tropical Pool Paradise!

A pool can serve as a resort’s architectural and amenity focal point, offering a place to exercise, unwind or work on a tan after a long day of business meetings or golf. Grand Cascades Lodge at Crystal Springs has accomplished both of these objectives with its 10,000 sq ft tropical indoor pool complex. The Biosphere at Grand Cascades Lodge is the first structure of its kind in the U.S. to incorporate advanced German Foiltec roofing material, allowing nearly 100% light transmission for year-round tanning. In addition, a retractable roof which produces an extraordinary outdoor effect is a truly singular offering in the Northeast. The blending of these two technologies also creates an energy efficient space that allows users to enjoy all four seasons in the Biosphere.
The roof is only one of the many highlights of this magnificent structure. Grand Cascades Lodge’s exotic freeform pools are surrounded by lush tropical foliage that was specially transported to the resort to be housed in the Biosphere.
