Let's cut to the chase — this is a slow week in the north woods . So we've created a package for you with more bang for the buck.

This is an excellent time of the spring for lake trout, walleye, smallmouth bass and northern pike fishing. The water is still cool so the fish are in shallow water and can be fished with light rigs.

The lake trout are feeding along our rocky shores. The walleye have started to school up in the warm bays. The smallmouth bass are gathering near their spawning areas. And the northern are cruising around young weed beds.

You won't be fighting the summer crowds and it's not too buggy yet. For only $100 a day (2-person minimum per cabin) you'll have:

•  The best of our cabins available — even those with hot tubs.

•  Dinner each night, including anything off our menu — steak, walleye, chicken, pork or a vegetarian entree.

•  A boat and 20hp electric-start motor.

•  Minnow bucket, landing net, live bait, gear.

•  All your fish filleted and put in our freezer 'til you're packed and ready for home.
