The monthly cycle of the full moon is special anywhere. In the north woods, it's magical.

The moon is so bright it seems to take over the sky. There's no need for a flashlight, since once your eyes adjust to the moonlight in the forest you will find that you can see your way. You might hear the wolves howling, too — a special added bonus.

The smell of wood smoke from your fireplace and the sounds of the forest are subtle undertones. You can curl up in front of your fireplace and imagine what the dancing flames tell you about the mysteries and legends of the north woods.

This weekend has been known as the perfect time to pop the question! Or just have a renewal weekend with your spouse or significant other.

Of course there are plenty of daytime activities to keep you moving, too. From the canoeing, to boating, to hiking, to horseback riding or taking rides on the Towering Pines Canopy Tour. In October, a 1 hour massage is included for both of you.
