Write on the French River at The Lodge at Pine Cove

The Lodge at Pine Cove invites writers of all skill levels to take part in the 5th annual Write on the French River Creative Writing Retreat being held from Friday, May 6 to Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at this magnificent property. Whether you want to write a memoir that will inspire your family, or make a living with your pen, this retreat welcomes you. 

Limited to only 25 participants and taught by some of Canada’s leading writers, Write on the French River Creative Writing Retreat is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a writing environment that will draw out the prose you harbour inside. 

Applications are due by April 6, 2016. 

This unique opportunity combines excellent instruction with superb meals and accommodations at Ontario's top specialty lodge.

Based on Private Cottage (you will have your own deluxe cottage with a private bedroom and bathroom)

Based on Single-Occupancy (you will have your own deluxe bedroom in a cottage with a shared bathroom)

Based on Double-Occupancy (two people sharing a room in twin beds in a deluxe cottage with shared bathroom)

Enrolment in the retreat is limited to 25. Applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis so the earlier you apply the more likely we can confirm a spot for you. Please complete the online application or print it out and send it to nicola@frenchriver.com. Once we have received it, we will contact you to arrange payment of a 50% deposit. It will guarantee your placement in the retreat. Full payment is due April 6, 2016. Applicants must indicate their first, second and third faculty choices when submitting their application. While we cannot guarantee that we can place you with the instructor of your choice (Don Gillmor, Oakland Ross or Susan Scott), we will do our utmost to meet your request. If an applicant is unable to attend the retreat due to illness or other health problems, he or she will receive a refund for the amount paid, minus a $100 application fee, ONLY if we can fill their spot at the retreat. If they cancel on or before April 6, 2016 and we are unable to fill their spot, their payment (minus the $100 application fee) can be used as a credit toward a future booking at The Lodge at Pine Cove during 2016. If they cancel after April 6, 2016, and we are unable to fill their spot, any payment made is NON-REFUNDABLE. We will endeavour to fill a spot left vacant due to illness or other health problems, but we are not able to guarantee it.
