Of course, you’ll find plenty of waterpark resorts in Wisconsin Dells - including America’s largest waterpark resort and another featuring the world’s largest indoor waterpark. Wisconsin Dells has more hotel rooms than any other city in the state, at just over 8,000. There is no entrance fee for Wisconsin Dells, and 68% of all accommodations are open year round.

It may be the Waterpark Capital of the World, but Wisconsin Dells features far, far more. There are plenty of the “usual” things to do, such as championship golf or touring the amazing sandstone dells by boat along the Wisconsin River. Plus there are a number of experiences you’ve never had before, and we’re comfortable saying you won’t have them anywhere else but here.

There are more than 80 restaurants here, and you’ll want to try them all. But there are two words to keep in mind: Supper Club. That’s a classic dining experience in Wisconsin and especially the Dells, since supper clubs tend to combine relaxing cocktail hours, great food and live entertainment. The Dells also has a nice cross-section of world cuisine, as well as plenty of American favorites.

How to Get Here

Wisconsin Dells is located in the middle of Wisconsin’s southern half, about 115 miles west of Milwaukee and about 50 miles north of Madison. Interstates 94/90 lead directly past the Dells from either direction, and the fun starts about two miles east of it on Wisconsin Highway 13. Greyhound and Amtrak each have a route to the Dells, and the nearest airport is Dane Co. Regional Airport in Madison, Wisconsin.

Getting Around

Tour bus and limousine services are available within the Wisconsin Dells city limits. Also, the Chula Vista Resort has begun offering a water taxi, a scenic boat ride to downtown and back during daylight hours.
