How to Get Here


Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is the largest in the Texas Hill Country. The region is roughly encircled by U.S. 20 to the north, U.S. 10 to the south and U.S. I-35 along its eastern border. Texas Highway 281 is a good route through the heart of the Hill Country.

Getting Around


Automobile is your best bet when traveling through the Texas Hill Country between Austin and San Antonio. Much of the region consists of scenic, well-maintained highway with small historic towns along the way. Austin and San Antonio have bus, taxi and shuttle services.
