How to Get Here
With two interstate highways crossing South Dakota, it is easy to get to the Mount Rushmore State by car. I-90 runs east and west while I-29 runs north and south. And don’t worry about getting here fast - the speed limit on interstate highways is 75 mph!
Several airlines also offer flights to South Dakota cities, including Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Aberdeen, Brookings, Huron, Mitchell, Pierre, Watertown and Yankton.

With the sprawling prairies and undulating glacial terrain separating major tourist attractions like Mount Rushmore National Monument and Badlands National Park, you’ll definitely want to rent a car or drive your own when you visit.
