Accessing Southwest Colorado by car is a beautiful process, since National Scenic Byway and Highways abound. But if you choose to fly, airports servicing the area include the Telluride Regional Airport, the Durango La Plato County Airport, the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport and Montrose Airport. You also have the option to fly into Denver or Albuquerque and drive to your destination.
Getting Around
Buses and trolleys make traveling through towns like Durango easy. Renting a car may be the better option if you are interested in exploring the area around your destination.
