Stay Here
Ontario encompasses such a large area, you can be sure that it also encompasses all styles of accommodations. Big cities have luxury hotels and resorts and spas are easy to find, but what this province has truly perfected is the lodge experience. Log furnishings, fishing guides and pure nature – this is what Ontario is all about. See what this expansive area has just for you!
Play Here
Ontario has playtime fun in every sense of the word. Nature play: 250,000 lakes to fish and kayak, forested lands galore and “rocks” to climb. Upscale play: luxurious spas, golf, wineries, experiences and theatre performances. Kid play: museums, theme parks and petting zoos. We think you get the idea…when it comes to playing around, Ontario has what you’re looking for!
Dine Here
With such an array of regional staples it wouldn’t be right to highlight one dish – there are too many flavors in this varied and vast land! But there are some foods (and drinks) that we recommend sinking your teeth into (or gulping down). Check into Rib Fest and sample varied cultural cuisines in city centers. Sipping Ontario wines and regional craft beers is also a must!
How to Get Here
Most airline visitors will arrive at Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, just outside of Toronto. By bus, consider using Greyhound Canada or Coach Canada. Given that this is such a large area of land, driving routes will vary. If you are looking to access the northern areas of Ontario, traveling by train may be your best bet.
Getting Around
Since Ontario is such a vast region, the only sensible way to travel (if you are looking to cover a good deal of ground) is by car. However, if you are staying in one area GO Transit serves the greater Toronto area and there are a variety of recreational waterways to take you from place to place.
