Not everyone feels comfortable in the spotlight, but it’s an entirely different story for those staying in the limelight – the Limelight Lodge in downtown Aspen, that is! Snow aficionados have never had it better, outside or in, than at our No. 1 Colorado luxury lodge.

Limelight Lodge sports a modern outward motif with the internal warmth of home-like hospitality. Perhaps this is because the lodge had been family-owned and operated for more than 50 years. As a guest, you’ll be treated to amenities like underground parking, pet-friendly accommodation and a locked storage area. But you’ll feel like family when you start your day with the complimentary expanded breakfast. Throw out the single soggy bowl of cereal and load up a plate of pastries, granola, yogurt, boiled eggs and more. After skiing on the mountain trails, come home to the lodge for an après ski of wine, cheese, crackers and coffee cake! Speaking of mountain skiing, we can’t forget that Limelight Lodge is conveniently close to the pinnacles of exhilarating adventure, or better known as the peaks of Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk Trails! Or, enjoy a snowmobile tour of Maroon Bells Park and Independence Pass ghost town.

Our No. 2 may not be as elevated as the famous Aspen mountains surrounding it, but it still ranks in the highest of classes. Located in a valley and built with the intention of integrating environment, culture and community, this Bauhaus-style resort does just that. Feel harmonized with the Colorado landscape in rooms with snow-white sheets, windows for walls and stunning mountain, courtyard and river views. The only difference outside is the lack of climate control. But with the fresh snow beneath your skis, you’ll forget all but the Colorado beauty as you cross three valleys, past woods and over meadows on the Owl Creek Trail. If the challenges of Aspen Highlands don’t test you, exercise your arm muscles – and your courage – and try ice climbing! No matter what your pleasure by day, you’ll be more than pleased to return to Aspen Meadows and to your private balcony, study area and bed.
