Canyon Ranch Miami Beach - Miami Beach, Florida
We promise you’re in for something special when you stay at this Southeast Florida luxury hotel, and it starts with the views. Stunning scenery surrounds you in every direction from Canyon Ranch’s all-suite accommodations. Deep blue Atlantic Ocean waters, lagoon-like intracoastal waterways and the glittering cityscape of Miami – all visible from your private balcony and begging to be explored. It’s all the style you’d expect from a Miami luxury hotel, with an added air of tranquility for complete peace of mind on your Southeast Florida vacation Of course, there's plenty of sightseeing to do inside the Canyon Ranch Miami Beach, starting with the David Rockwell-designed lobby. This four-story masterpiece – appointed with a suspended mangrove sculpture above and polished stone and shell floors below – ushers you in with style and hints at even better things to come. Like the original charm paired with modern-day comforts in the hotel’s one- or two-bedroom suites for an elegant blend of old and new. Or, the hotel’s exclusive Aquavana spa system that is sure to leave you with a healthy glow from head to toe.
Doral Golf Resort and Spa - Miami, Florida
There’s a reason for the “golf” in Doral Golf Resort – this Southeast Florida resort is home to not one, but five golf courses! But these aren’t your average Sunshine State courses; they’re products of the meeting of the minds of world-renowned golf legends and noted course architects. Like the Blue Monster Course, originally designed by Dick Wilson and taken to a whole new level under the watchful eye of the PGA Tour. Or, the Greg Norman Signature Course, a par-72 and the only course in the Southeastern corner of the country that uses coquina – crushed shells – on every hole. Doral Golf Resort and Spa introduces you to a new kind of luxury on your SE Florida vacation, a style of luxury that centers on endless possibilities. Like more than 100 treatments in the European-inspired Spa at Doral. Choose your pleasure: deep tissue, hot stone, therapeutic or even Ashiatsu – barefoot massage – styles. Choose your location: poolside, under the shelter of a private cabana or in the comfort of your suite. Then again, this is a luxury resort, so who says you have to choose just one?
The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne - Key Biscayne, Florida
Surrounded by tropical palms and endless beaches, it’s easy to forget that you’re not actually on a deserted island when you stay at the Ritz Carlton. A tour of the hotel’s five onsite restaurants can only enhance this absent-mindedness; each features a different style of cuisine from gastronomic hot spots around the globe. Like the Tuscan-inspired Cioppino that pulls off a remarkable imitation of an Old World Italian eatery with signature dishes like Veal Scallopini. The Mexican-inspired Cantina Beach, with its thatched roofs, al fresco dining and the freshest fish tacos we’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. And the exotic flavors, rum flights and extensive cigar collection of the Old Havana-inspired RUMBAR. The Ritz-Carlton brings the outdoors in with its ocean-inspired guestrooms and suites. With an idyllic location on the golden sands and turquoise waters of Key Biscayne, who could blame them for being inspired? Mother-of-pearl wall coverings cast a shimmering glow on the en-suite baths, while silky fabrics mimic the fluid motions of ocean waves. But the true crown jewel of this tropics-inspired paradise is its signature Ritz-Carlton Club Level, where an unparalleled level of sophistication – and exclusive access to the ninth level lounge and oceanfront gazebo – redefines the traditional luxury hotel experience.
The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa - Hollywood, Florida
Welcome to Hollywood, Florida – an intimate beach community that bears little resemblance to the celebrity-studded California city of the same name. But the two do have some things in common; mainly the same palm trees, beautiful beaches and a multitude of diversions both day and night. When you stay at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa, you’ll even enjoy some of Hollywood’s signature star treatment, starting with the marble baths, glass-enclosed showers and Westin Heavenly Bath products found in your suite. And don’t forget to check out the see-and-be-seen scene of Nikki Beach, a coveted Hollywood hot spot that serves up cocktails, creative cuisine and endless entertainment with fashion shows, live music and more featured nightly! Most SE Florida hotels (and their guests) are content with the bare minimum when it comes to a pool. A little water, a few chairs scattered around and voila, a place to soak up the Florida sunshine. Luckily for you, the Westin Diplomat has an aversion to anything average, which means you get to enjoy a sparkling pool turned sprawling waterscape on your Florida vacation. It starts with an outdoor bridged pool, continues with an infinity edge and a see-through bottom, and comes to a delightful climax with waterfalls that cascade into the 240-ft. lagoon pool below for an unparalleled aquatic experience.

Lago Mar Resort and Club - Fort Lauderdale, Florida
This aptly-named Ft. Lauderdale resort – “lago” is Spanish for lake and “mar” is synonymous with sea – boasts a title inspired by its location between the freshwater depths of Lake Mayan and the deep blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. True to its name, the Lago Mar Resort and Club boasts plenty of ways to enjoy them both. From fishing charters and parasailing to boating and jet skiing, your whole family will enjoy an array of wet-and-wild fun. For those who prefer to stay dry, the resort offers plenty of pursuits at the water’s edge, including shuffleboard, a putting course and even a giant outdoor chessboard! The Lago Mar has built a reputation of excellence by acquiring the most desirable piece of Ft. Lauderdale property, an accommodating staff and the most stylish, yet comfortable collection of rooms and suites you’re likely to find. It’s also one of the most versatile, with accommodations, activities and services that attract all types of travelers; and easily one of the most luxurious, with an assortment of above-and-beyond amenities, including an onsite day spa and the resort’s own private beach.
Newport Beachside - Sunny Isles Beach, Florida
With athletics, academics and the accelerated pace of everyday life, it can be difficult to find time for family. Newport Beachside offers a solution to the rat race, with relaxing family vacations on Southeast Florida’s sun-kissed shores. You’ll find plenty of kid-friendly activities right on site, from water sports in the Atlantic to the beachfront playground, while nearby attractions like the Miami Sea Aquarium and Parrot Jungle Island offer adventure for all ages. There’s even a resort calendar to entertain the whole family – and offer a return to simpler times – with retro games, activities and more! You don’t need to travel with the family in tow to have a good time at Newport Beachside. Nearby Miami turns on the neon lights – and cranks up the heat – with a sultry nightlife scene that just won’t quit. Of course, you’ll need to fuel up beforehand if you plan to outlast this all-night action. That’s where Kitchen 305 comes in, with an eclectic menu of flatbread pizzas, seafood dishes and other fare that’ll start your night off right. Let the Atlantic sunrise serve as your cue to head home to the comfort of your suite, where you can enjoy a soothing Jacuzzi soak before catching up on some much-needed sleep.
Fisher Island Hotel - Fisher Island, Florida
Fisher Island Hotel offers a truly exclusive island getaway – one of the few in all of Southeast Florida. Of course, visitors to Fisher Island should be prepared to drop a considerable amount of cash just to get there; this wealthy community is accessible only by auto-ferry, boat or helicopter! But don’t let the island’s reputation intimidate you. It’s all smooth sailing, sun-filled skies and hassle-free living from here on out. Set against the sparkling Atlantic and home to two deep-water marinas, we think Fisher Island Hotel is the perfect place to dock your yacht, escape to a spa-inspired weekend with the girls or just hole up in for a romance-filled weekend. With accommodations ranging from comfortable guestrooms to extravagant three-bedroom residences, Fisher Island Hotel offers you all the luxury with just the right amount of space. For a truly exquisite dining experience, residents and guests turn to the Garwood Lounge and piano bar. Housed within the historic walls of the 1920s-era Vanderbilt Mansion, this elegant eatery features a deliciously romantic ambience and opens to a courtyard aviary brimming with rare birds.
Four Seasons Hotel Miami - Miami, Florida
You’ll find Art Deco signatures throughout the Four Seasons Hotel Miami, but nowhere is this more apparent than in the hotel’s opulent lobby entrance. Marble floors, wood-lined walls, one-of-a-kind art works and even a 16-ft. waterfall grace this stately space. And speaking of fine art, we promise you’ll emerge a masterpiece after an hour in the indulgent onsite spa. This pampering parlor features private treatment rooms, a Turkish steam room and a redwood sauna. You can even treat yourself and that special someone to a couples’ massage in the privacy of a poolside cabana. When we first heard the Four Season’s suites described as “lemon-hued,” we couldn’t help thinking of the nearly-neon fruit. So we were pleasantly surprised to discover that it’s actually a subtle, elegant shade – more lemon chiffon than meringue – that graces these stately walls. The Art Deco décor and upscale amenities found throughout continue the Four Season’s tradition of good taste, with special touches like Venetian glass lamps and marble baths with deep soaking tubs. But by far the most breathtaking highlight of these chic guestrooms and suites is the view of Biscayne Bay or the Miami cityscape that awaits!
Acqualina Resort & Spa - Sunny Isles Beach, Florida
So many Southeast Florida resorts promise world-class spas, yet so few offer exclusive access to amenities like Finnish Saunas, Crystal steam rooms and Experience showers – plus a credit toward spa treatments every night of your stay. But that’s precisely what you’re treated to when you stay at the Acqualina Resort and Spa. Inside the dual-level, oceanfront ESPA, you’ll be subjected to pampering, pleasure and total body bliss like you’ve never experienced. Choose from an array of meditative, restorative and holistic treatments and say goodbye to worldly cares. And speaking of pampering, remember those ancient Greek paintings that feature a gowned maiden hand-feeding grapes to her beloved? That indulgent fantasy just stepped out of the canvas and onto the poolside scene, courtesy of Acqualina’s pool concierge. Don’t worry if grapes aren’t your thing; this aquatic butler comes prepared with fruit smoothies and other refreshing treats to tempt you. Inside the luxurious residences, you’ll find form, function, substance and style – all Acqualina trademarks. Even the most basic rooms come with their own private living room, mini bar, hideaway entertainment center and deluxe marble bath. After all, what good is beauty if it’s only skin deep?
The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club - Aventura, Florida
The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort recently made a splashing debut when it reopened its doors to reveal a completely transformed resort. Magazines, travel guides and recent guests just can’t stop singing its praises, so we knew we were in for something special. All the press releases and news clippings couldn’t prepare us for what greeted us upon arrival. Like the private Ocean Club right on the Atlantic. Two championship golf courses completely redesigned with breathtaking results. And the waterslide, lazy river and private cabanas that let you slip, slide and snooze in style around the Fairmont’s all-new lagoon pool. The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort staff is too modest to brag, but we see no shame in doing it for them – beginning with the decidedly upscale suites. The epitome of understated elegance, these renovated suites are luxuriously appointed with designer colors and fabrics, rich wood furnishings and modern comforts like soaking tubs and flatscreen TVs. But it’s the Grand Presidential Suite that’s truly fit for royalty, with a formal foyer, powder room and even his-and-hers closet space. Forget vacations, we’d like to make the Fairmont our permanent address!
