To save some cash in Southeast Florida, why not leave your wallet at home altogether? Reapply your sunscreen, grab your camera or running shoes and hit the Lake Trail on Palm Beach!
Once you find your way onto Palm Beach this five-mile paved trail is yours to meander on foot or wheels – the trail is only open to pedestrians, bikers and skaters. Originally built in 1894 by Palm Beach’s founder Henry Flagler, the trail passes by his first home, “Sea Gull Cottage” along with Flagler’s Whitehall Mansion and other sweeping estates.
On this prestigious island the trail is a great spot for some people watching with your exercise. And once you’ve done a lap or two on the Lake Trail, another trail runs 1.5 miles on the island, so keep your running shoes on for a healthy – and economical – way to see the best of Palm Beach!
