You think of Branson - and maybe even Missouri in general - you think country music, right? Well you’re not the only one. But Branson is home to performances from an astounding variety of genres. From Broadway favorites to the Twelve Irish Tenors, there’s something for everyone here.
And when it comes to pleasing everyone, a show at Starlite Theater fits the bill. Liverpool Legends is the acclaimed tribute to The Beatles managed by Louise Harrison – sister of the late George Harrison. This makes the group the only Beatles tribute band to have a direct biological connection to one of the original band’s members. They are so convincing in fact, that Louise was brought to tears the first time she heard Marty, as George.
Since 2006, the band has won a slew of awards from the Branson Critic, including “Best Show” and “Best Band.” The all ages show spans the Beatles’ entire career, and with uncanny resemblances, you’ll almost forget this is a tribute. But there’s one thing that certainly stands apart from the original Fab Four – a fifth member. The extra member plays sound effects, percussion and other sounds that prevented The Beatles themselves from performing certain songs onstage.
