Old Wagon Ridge is a newly built cabin located off an old fire road built by the CCC's (Civilian Conservation Corp) in the early 1930's. It sits in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 6 acres of land. There are miles of private mountain roads to hike to enjoy wild life and nature. Our community offers local wineries, Lake Arrowhead for hiking, fishing, and paddle boating, The Shenandoah River offers tubing and kayaking. The Shenandoah National Park offers endless wildlife, wilderness, and beauty only a 20-minute drive to the Thornton Gap entrance. 14-minute to Luray Caverns, 15-minute drive to The George Washington National Forest Storybook Trail, 45-minute drive to Massanutten Resort.

The cabin at old wagon ridge was perfect and the welcome basket was a nice touch. The cabin was exceptionally clean and very comfortable with a wonderful view of the mountains and the added benefit of a hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped and several easy to follow instructions were provided. For those staying a week or longer and consistently eating in, it could benefit from some sharper knives and a few more dishes.

This place was genuinely wonderful. The view was fantastic, the amenities were all there, the place was cute and clean. Loved the sweet touch of a little local gift basket! I would say there were a lot of rules and we were reminded frequently of those rules via various notes and signage, lol. But overall, 10/10 would go back. Me and my boyfriend couldnt have asked for a better weekend

The cabin was amazing! This was a weekend getaway for me and my husband (and our dog) to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We had an amazing time. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and couldnt be cleaner. There was a welcome basket with sparkling cider, fresh bread, apple butter, and doggie treats, which was such a nice surprise. We were able to relax in the hot tub and enjoy the and the night sky. It was such a beautiful, peaceful place.
We already booked another stay for October but this time we are bringing our two kids

We had a wonderful time at the Old Wagon Ridge. Since we arrived after dark, we were greeted with a truly amazing and colorful sunrise on Saturday. Beautiful is inadequate for the view this cabin provides. The hammock begs for you to relax with a good book or watch the clouds roll by. The hot tub is situated with an unobstructed view of Skyline Drive. The cabin is well appointed with everything we needed. A gift basket was left for us which included goodies for the whole family, dogs included. We hope to return to see the view during other times of the year.

We just finished our stay at Old Wagon Ridge and it was great. Weather was perfect and the view was lovely. The cabin was clean and it had everything we needed to cook great meals and relax. Would highly recommend this place for people looking to get away (2 hours from DC) for a little hiking, biking and fun on the Shenandoah River.

Allstar Lodging Staff,
We arrived shortly after 3 PM on Friday, October 11, 2019. The cabin was exactly as pictured and was perfect. We found a personalized note along with a basket of goodies. The owners were very responsive. My boys discovered the batteries were missing from a WII controller and within 45 minutes- we had a pack of batteries in hand.
The cabin is immaculate, well-furnished and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is equipped with most anything one would need. The Kuerig was a welcomed bonus as well. The Hot tub was well cared for and clean. The location is handy to the town of Luray and the cabin itself faces Stony Man and Hawksbill Mountains. It is quiet and peaceful and just what I was looking for. If the question is would I stay here again? My answer is a resounding YES.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! The cabin and the amenities were just as described, and the view was incredible! It was the perfect blend of being able to enjoy the peace and quiet of being outdoors, but having all of the comforts of home right there. We really appreciated that they provided a lot so that we didnt have to bring as much with us such as paper towels, toilet paper, dish detergent, coffee for the Keurig, as well as having spices and other condiments for food. It was very private, but you can see another home from the property if you are someone looking for total privacy. We cant say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at this cabin and would definitely stay again!

my wife and I found the accommodations to be perfect! The cabin was as clean and perfect as the listing and pictures showed. I would highly recommend this cabin and all star lodging to any and all of my friends. We ventured into the town of Luray to eat and found really good restaurants and a perfect little brewery. Overall, the experience was fantastic. We will be back!!

This new cabin and its amenities were excellent, and exceeded my expectations. I found that its owners went well above and beyond what typical cabin owners do to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. The owners clearly enjoy doing so, rather than merely engaging in the cabin rental business to make money (unlike so many other cabin owners in the area). The one piece of constructive criticism which I will provide here is that the Internet connection could have been faster. I thoroughly enjoyed my sojourn here, and definitely plan to return here. This place was amazing. So peaceful. I went there for my birthday with friends. We relaxed in the hot tub, threw some food on the grille, and hung out by the fire pit. The kitchen had everything we need to cook breakfast in the morning. They even had dog bowls for my pup. We received a welcome basket with fresh veggies, dog treats, and of course smores !! "We absolutely loved the cabin, it was better than expected. The cabin was super clean and actually more spacious than anticipated. The location was in perfect proximity to activities in Luray but secluded enough that you felt surrounded by all nature had to offer. The added touches like the fresh vegetables from the garden and the basket of ingredients to make smores was such an awesome welcoming. We felt right at home, didnt want the weekend to end. This cabin was great! My oldest son Anthony chose the Luray area and this cabin as a weekend getaway after completing his sophomore year at Penn State. We really like the close proximity the cabin was to skyline drive, lake arrowhead, and the caverns. The cabin was clean and well stocked with needed items. The eggs were delicious! The hot tub was a great way to end the day after we hiked to Dark Hollow Falls + Hawksbill Trail. Loved the flowers, herb garden and fire pit. We cooked kabobs and smores over it our first night. The homey touches and attention to details made this place stand out! My family and I would love to come back again someday. All in all we had a fun, relaxing time to reconnect as a family. The only thing needed was some pavers leading from the back porch to the hot tub, those stones are hard and sharp on bare feet.

I loved this cabin! We all agreed this was the best family vacation yet. I loved the welches drink. The hot tub was so great were thinking about getting one :) It was nice sitting outside reading or playing. You guys had everything, we played with the Frisbee and board games. My husband and son were guests last week. I found this cabin on line and so I wasnt sure what they should be expecting. The moment they got there they called and sent pictures letting me know how happy they were with my choice of cabin. They had a great time riding horses, hiking, sitting around a fire and soaking in the hot tub after long days of adventure. they said the house was very clean, too. They didnt have much cell service but they didnt care. Next time I have to go with them!!

Old Wagon Ridge is a newly built cabin that is just beautiful Even though it is new it still has that old style feel to it. We really enjoyed roasting smores by the campfire and getting in the hot tub. Such a nice relaxing weekend had by myself friends

Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, the driveway is a gravel or hard packed dirt surface. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing their property from these roads as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.
