As others have said, the location of this home is incredible. The home is spacious enough for a group, in a quiet neighborhood and very comfortable. The layout of the rooms permits one family or group to be in the front of the home, and another couple to be in the master, each with plenty of their own space. As mentioned, it is one story, another bonus for some.
The beach access is at Pompano Joe's Restaurant, right at the end of the street. There are about 4 steps, then maybe 20 more steps down to the beach, where there is a foot wash and shower for the return. We never saw the handicapped beach access pictured, with ramps, but I'm sure we'd have found it if we'd asked.
The small community pool is directly across the street from the home, with its own foot wash and shower. It has a large covered area with ceiling fan with tables and chairs for those who desire shade.
The home was very clean, well stocked and Newman-Dailey was extremely helpful with repairing a couple of small items when we arrived. One appliance- the clothes dryer- seems to be coming to its life's end, so they exchanged out our bath towels for us and they plan to replace the dryer soon.
There is a small cart with some beach toys in the garage, which we appreciated using, and a bin with a couple of boogie boards. The back yard has a great grill, large and small table with chairs for outdoor meals, if desired. The "bonus" sun/family room was really nice for expanding our space. We parked on the driveway, but there is the full two car garage for anyone wanting to use it.

This place was terrific, had everything we needed we were able to walk to the beach every day, grocery store was like 8 minutes drive with traffic. We had all the utensils we needed to cook.

Our house was in a very nice neighborhood and would like to stay there again just a short walk to the beach wasn’t really an inconvenience my family loved it and love liked staying away from the super motels

This property was in a perfect location and well suited for our vacation. We had one slight issue with one of the bathroom toilets running but maintenance came within a few hrs. The pool was conveniently located and within minutes of the beach. This space was perfect for our girls trip and would be great for a 2 family vacation.

Nice big house could have fit 8 to 10 comfortably. Master was nice with walk in closet! Queen bed not to comfortable in 2nd bed but overall great stay other than weather

We recently stayed here with my parents and my teenage children and there was plenty of room for all of us. This house is in a great location and convenient to everything. I especially appreciated the fact that it was all on one level since my Mother has a bad hip and stairs would have been difficult for her. We would stay here again!

the location was a block from the beach. free umbrella and chair reservation at pompano joe's was very convenient so we did not have to carry heavy stuff back and forth every day. the house was adequate but carpet not vacuumed or floors swept before we arrived. towels were left in the washing machine so i had to do a load of laundry. we had small kids and 2 teenage girls so i gave them chores to sweep and do laundry. the shower door was hard to close. the biggest issue was flying ants in the house but did not want them to spray with little kids around. the vacation home had basics and the stove was dirty. a little better maintenance would be helpful including cleaning the air conditioner vent. i grabbed the vacuum and took care of this myself. it was very close to the rental office and macdonalds, wal-mart, commons mall, etc. the stretch of beach in front of pompano joes had less people and convenient jet ski rentals (bit expensive $100 an hour) if you are interested but we were ther for swimming in the beautiful ocean and clean sand. being from houston and having only galveston island nearby the beach is night and day and worth the long drive. nice to have a garage to park the car out of the heat and very short walk to beach. quiet and convenient location. will probably stay at another vacation rental next time and pay a little more but this was reaonable budget for up to 2 small families. it had a sun room and the sprinkler system came on every morning and woke up my brother in law and walls are paper thin so you can hear young kids waking up early in the morning. the vacation was nice and that was what we will remember. i called to inform the office about the issues and was told a manager would call me but they never did ... oh well. doesn't change our good memories of destin but he house needs some minor improvements. will probably rent from newman daily again next time but pay a little more next time. you get what you pay for...

We rent Newman Dailey properties every year and the experience is always awesome!!! A stones throw is a great place to call home while on vacation!! We love it!! We can't wait until the next vacation...we'll be back!!!

Easy check in. The house is very nice. Love having the washer and dryer, garage, 4 Tv's, and dishwasher.
Unfortunately, the 4th of July week is very busy down there. Very crowded on Emerald Parkway. Hard to get around to visit the mall, etc.
Also, I was warned that there would be a repairman on Monday, July 1 around 9 a.m. to fix the roof. He started pounding his hammer over the 3rd bedroom around 7:15 a.m. and woke up my son and nephew. The repairman also left 3 long screws in the driveway where he was parked. Luckily, we found them before we ran over them!

A Stone's Throw, was exactly that, loved being so close to the beach.
We had nine in our party and everyone was very comfortable, plenty room for everyone. Could have used a few more towels for that many people. We were very happy with everyone at Newman-Dailey that assisted us in planning our trip. Hope to visit again one day! Thank you for everything.

We had a great week and enjoyed the house. The location is perfect - just a brief walk to the beach and right across from the pool. Loved being able to walk to coffee shop and Pompano Joes. The house was decorated well, clean and comfortable. Location convenient to many businesses - groceries, restaurants, etc.
Would be an improvement for the property if there was a bicycle tire pump for the 2 bikes. Also, more silverware is needed, there was not enough to accomodate our needs. Otherwise the house was really great and would rent again.

During our visit in Destin & Stones Throw was very clean and neat! Neighbors were nice and hospitable all appliance worked and were available for use. And I would recommend it in a heart beat. I enjoyed the peace and quiet.
