Beautiful property by the lake. Quiet and private while offering options for entertaining and relaxing. One of the best features is the restaurant. The food is exquisite. The pool is clean and cold( i actually like that), and the lake beach while small it seems to accommodate everyone ok. I gave the resort a 5 star because of the overall experience but it should be more like 4.5 . While the resort is on the small side and to a degree outdated the experience did not disappoint. If the management can catch up with a little sprucing up it will continue to be 5 star place for years to come.

Sir Sam's is a fun winter chalet destination! I am sure it is beautiful on the lake there in the summer as well. They have wood fireplaces in the rooms, and great food at the restaurant. We used snow shoes on the very frozen lake. This was home base for a dog sledding excursion with winter dance which I highly recommend. Very cozy winter lodge style setting!

Nice and charming hotel. Food was great on the dining plan. Trouble getting the shower to behave properly for temperature. Massage was wonderful. Overall a lovely weekend getaway! Even saw some deer posing for photos near the property!

Sir Sam's Inn and Spa provided us with an excellent experience this past winter. We stayed at Sir Sam's in early February for a getaway weekend. We arrived to a clean and cozy room with a comfortable King bed and a large jacuzzi tub that the two of us were able to enjoy together. The front desk staff gave us fire starters and some kindling to enjoy the fireplace during the night. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal package as the food was delicious. During our stay, we enjoyed three massage treatments and each one was professional and hit all the right spots! We enjoyed the large spa pool but headed to our room to enjoy the one in the room. Overall, we loved our stay at Sir Sam's and are looking forward to returning for our next getaway! There are amenities that could use some updating in the large spa area but we did see evidence of updates happening and more than enjoyed the large private jacuzzi tub in our room. Some information regarding the fireplace might be needed as we saw multiple rooms with heavy smoke coming out at them during our stay (I think from not using the plume properly). An easy solution could be having a QR code by each fireplace which links to a brief tutorial video on proper and safe fireplace use.

I stayed at Sir Sam's for 3 nights in March 2023, looking for a place that was not too busy (off season) and luxurious enough that I felt pampered. I went by myself in order to recharge my social battery. I cannot say enough about the service and the staff at this resort. From the time of booking to day of check out, I was treated like a princess! Veronica's unending patience with checking me in and answering my bottomless pit of questions and requests, Devynn's knowledge of the resort and surrounding area and super accommodating attitude, Tracy (sp?) at the bar, who provided me with my ice-ice-baby :), the chef, who I never laid eyes on but made me the most amazing pasta dinner for room service, and of course Sarah, who's crystals advice, spa hostess skills, and especially her heads up for me to look upward in order to experience the most amazing northern lights show I have ever witnessed!!! My room was cozy with my own balcony, whirlpool tub, fireplace, and fridge and coffee machine, with amazing views of Eagle Lake. The water spa was absolutley delightful! (I recommend to go and watch the sunset) I went in after dark to soak up the starlit roof surrounded by soft blue-light. But the staff are definitely what will guarantee a return trip for me, 5 star service for sure! Thank you all so much for making my getaway special xoxo

I was surprised with a weekend getaway to Sir Sam's!! It was the most lovely, romantic, and relaxing experience. The rustic, welcoming, cozy vibes were absolutely wonderful. The spa itself, the massages, the room, the food - it all exceeded what would be expected. To finish off the trip my boyfriend proposed - we left the perfect destination as an ecstatic engaged couple!! Sir Sam's will always be such a special place for us. They have been in business century, hopefully centuries more to come !!!

We just got back form a two night stay and had an excellent time. Very comfortable room with a jacuzzi tub and wood burning fireplace. The meals package was well worth it as everything was delicious with good size portions. The waterspa was a blast, very clean with five different therapeutic experiences plus a plunge bucket - we gave that a pass. Also, the location is very attractive, inside and out. Some of the amenities could use updating and I am sure it's ongoing, but everything worked and that's all we could ask. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They definitely want to please you. We will be back.

Visited with my husband for our anniversary. Everything was great, comfy bed, clean room, lots of things to do, really good food, lovely spa room. Great service, staff are lovely. Definitely one of those "we don't say no to guests" kind of resorts. Truly a happy accident finding this place. Quite a history behind it as well. Really enjoyed ourselves, returned home relaxed, which was the ultimate goal. Would more than likely return. Thanks for a great visit!

We had a great stay. My girlfriend and I stayed for a night, had a great room, super clean and all you needed. We got the package where food was included and it was all worth it. Super fancy and tasty food which I was surprised. Staff was great and helpful and the swimming was aweosme in the lake and both pools. We had massages too ans they were great! Even had RMTs so you could go through your benefits. Highly recommend and will be back!

A fantastic experience! The food and the staff are amazing, big thanks to our server Sam and Gerri who made our dining so enjoyable! The menu had a great selection of choices and food was high quality (I recommend the tarragon chicken). John the bartender was also awesome and we had a great time at their cozy bar. Tracey was such an amazing host, ensuring that we felt welcome and well taken care of. The room was cozy, a little outdated but had great views. Highly recommend!
