Myself and my two younger sons just got back from our stay on Jekyll Island at the Oceanside Inn & Resort. We were very disappointed in the hotel. The layout of the hotel was terrible. The lobby was very, very far away from our room. The ice machine near our room didn't work and we had to go quite a distance to get to another one. We found bugs on our pillows in our bed. There was a hole in the wall under the window. The blow dryer was supposed to be attached to the wall but was not and the only place to plug it in was over the toilet. You could not detach it from the wall hanger and so it hung over the toilet when you used it. There was a coffee maker in the room, but there were no condiments to go along with it ( sugar, creamer) so it was totally useless to me. The pool was totally disgusting. It definitely needed work. Also, the lights in the pool were not working at night and it was very dark. I'm sure this has got to be against some kind of building code. We had breakfast at the restaurant located at the hotel and the food was really bad. The room had no internet, only in the hotel lobby and the internet in the hotel lobby was down the entire time we were there. Also, the hall flooring was soaking wet the whole time we were there. I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere and don't waste it at this hotel.
