My husband and I thought at first there could be no way that everyone could be so happy and friendly all the time. But after a long weekend full (we extended our trip a night) we discovered that it’s genuine. They really are friendly and happy to be at work. They must be a little nuts, if you ask me, but whatever it is we loved it! A far cry from the rush hour New York subway drudgery we’re used to. And they open doors, everyone, even the guests picked up on it! There must be something in the water there in Hawley. Our kids, Anna (3 1/2yrs) and Toby (5yrs) we’re in heaven. We tried a crack at Disney last year and discovered that it was just too much for their feet and their patience. Woodloch had the charm and the activities, but was much more manageable. We even tried our luck hiring a babysitter one of our evening, to get a little adult time (they have a great theme show and comedian, very cruise ship). The babysitters are employed through Woodloch, we booked at the front desk, it was really reasonable and we felt completely safe (after a few typical parent-anxiety phone calls to the room during dinner). In short, we had a wonderful experience and are so happy to have this getaway so close to home. The kids can’t stop talking about it. I’m sure we’ll be back soon.

Simply put, Woodloch was everything you want in a family vacation and more-- it is clean, friendly, fun, accomodating, comfortable, entertaining, homey, cozy, beautiful..the list could go on. My husband and I brought our 3 young children and could not be happier with our decision. It makes bringing the family together effortless. We will definitely be back next year, hopefully with our extended friends and family!

Having traveled to 100's of resorts across the world and you simply get to know what a relaxing stay is all about. Traveling to the pocono mountains was just as relaxing and wonderful experience as any I have had. Especially the awesome golf course they have put together out there with some incredible views.
When you first walk into the doors the the Kiesendahls have really exemplified the word hospitality. The people are great and have been there for many years along with the food, views and activities abound.
I went here for work and pleasure and just seeing the events for the families and the activities makes you want to come back with your family and friends. I highly recommend anyone coming for a golf outing and or any other retreat because Woodloch has the make-up of what I think we all look for in a resort.
