The Shoshone Lodge is excellent for families and family reunions, with outdoor barbecues, daily horseback trips and evening campfires. The lodge is as flexible as you are; the restaurant serves home-cooked meals twice daily, with lunch on horseback. You only pay for what you choose to do that day!
Fishing
For generations, the Shoshone River has been known for its wonderful trout fishing, and the Shoshone Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy it. The cutthroat, brown, brook and rainbow trout are plentiful and the lodge sits near the river's South Fork, an ideal base for your fishing adventure!
Historical
The Shoshone Lodge has stood here for four generations, built by hand and by ingenuity. The direct relatives of the current owners kept a sawmill here, and crafted each cabin from the natural surroundings. The lodge fireplace was built, stone by stone, from rocks hand picked by the original owners!
Hunting
A mere 3.5 miles from the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park, the Shoshone Lodge is surrounded by territory that's famous for its trophy bull elk. Deer are also plentiful here, and the lodge offers packages and can arrange full outfitting for some of the best hunting in North America.
