The Trapper Creek Lodge & Supper Club is an upscale Wyoming getaway. Home to one of the best restaurants in the area, the Trapper Creek Lodge & Supper Club is an entirely renovated lodge, established in 1932, that connects thoroughly with its rich Western history. Built of logs imported from Oregon and featuring a Great Room, vaulted ceilings and a large river rock fireplace, the lodge is an impressive masterpiece. The kitchen, managed by culinary-schooled chef Robb features prime rib, Alaskan halibut, roasted garlic pork and other gourmet inspired Western Cuisine. Three upscale rooms provide every modern comfort,satellite TV and wireless Internet.
Trapper Creek and its sister properties, Flitner Ranch and The Hideout, practice rotating grazing to maintain the Cody area's rich diversity of plant and wildlife; it keep livestock under low stress and away from the pristine Trapper Creek. Several projects and tests are also underway, such as using goats for weed control.
Trapper Creek Lodge rests where the first WY settlers arrived in the 1880s. Its original name was the 16-1, serving the original "dudes" from the East and luminaries like Ernest Hemingway and Teddy Roosevelt. You can still see the ruins of the original lodge today, from your beautiful Trapper Creek cottage or guest house.
Wyoming hunting through Powderhorn Outfitters is carefully managed, with an emphasis on education; low-stress hunting techniques, game monitoring and encouraging respect for wildlife are all part of the program at Trapper Creek Lodge. The Cody area is spectacular for elk and deer hunting.
