Palmquist Farm

On the edge of Wisconsin’s Northwoods wilderness, Palmquist Farm is an 800-acre ranch and a working beef, buffalo, deer, and tree farm for 4 generations. It is also a heaven of Finnish hospitality, complete with amazing Finnish meals and famed, wood-fired Finnish sauna. Activities abound: cross-country skiing, bring-your-own-horse accommodations, hiking and hunting are right outside the door. Cottage-style lodging features wood-burning brick fireplaces, perfect for families, friends, and you!

Hunting

Palmquist Farm encompasses 800 acres of forests, fields, ponds and trails as well as its Northern Buck Preserve, part of nearly 11,000 acres of hunting land. it's terrific for whitetail deer, ruffed grouse, woodcock, turkey, and sometimes bison.

Ski

Palmquist Farm is surrounded by 20 miles of spectacular cross-country ski trails, through amazingly varied terrain including forests, cedar swamps and ridges. Rentals, lessons and even a 24-hour lighted trail are ideal any time, for any ability!

Cabins And Cottages

This cottage-like lodging is features beautiful wood craftsmanship and antiques from the Palmquists' late-1800s logging heritage. Yet you'll also find modern amenities like brick wood-burning fireplaces and a private, Finnish sauna and shower.
