The Holiday Motel was Door County's first-ever motel. It was purchased by a group of caring musicians and is now called the Holiday Music Motel. This motel is a charming destination with a distinct retro flare. It has been completely renovated using only "green" building materials and practices. In each room you'll find original 1950's tiling and furniture, plus modern amenities like a flat screen TV with cable. And all rooms are wired for hookup to the onsite recording studio!
Ecotourism
After a devastating fire in 2007, the motel was carefully renovated using only environmentally-friendly building materials and practices. Today the motel's owners are pursuing LEED certification for the green efforts used in the remodeling.
Historical
The Holiday Motel opened its doors in May of 1952 – making it the first motel in Door County. Fifty-five years later it was purchased by a group of musicians who carefully renovated it, turning it into the charming, retro destination it is today.
