We stayed at the Bartwood and experienced the wonderful views and beach. Spent hour or two combing the beach at low tide. Great tide pools. The location is just within minutes of restaurants in Eastsound, where you will find varying menus and overall good food. The Bartwood is in the process of upgrades/remodeling. Don't let this stop you. Although initial impression is not good, the rooms are great and the staff helpful.
