Built in 1848, the Island Manor House is Chincoteague Island's most historic and romantic Inn built. Prior to the Civil War, two young men on Chincoteague Island pooled their resources and built a large Maryland "T" -shaped house on Main Street. Today, after 150 years, the two houses have been joined together again with a large garden room, beautifully restored and furnished in Federal style.
